So not only did I have to cough up $253 in car repairs today, I have to bring my car back tomorrow. The dealership sent over not one, but two bent rims (nice), and the mechanics didn't have time to get a third one before the end of the day. It's coming tomorrow, so I've got to bring it back. Luckily, it will only take 20 minutes, and they won't charge me for time and labor (as well they shouldn't!). Oh, and my rent is due today. Life was a little on the expensive side today.
Upon leaving the auto body shop en route to the gym, I noticed I had not one, but two spots of bird crap on my car that weren't there this morning. How appropriate.
Thank God for my abundance of chocolate Vitalove in the freezer. I'm rationing them to make them last as long as possible, but I am so busting into the stash tonight. I'm thinking it's a Triple Chocolate Chunk VitaTop day today, wouldn't you agree? I need all the chocolate I can get tonight after the day I had today... as every gal knows, chocolate makes everything a little better!
I'm off to go whine to my cat and start getting ready for dinner and the new episode of The Biggest Loser.
Feeling sorry for yourself is still free, right? Just checking!

I've felt your pain!
I once paid $600 for a new exhaust system only for it to rust out within a year because the "new" exhaust system was actually used. The repair shop refused to refund me even a portion of the cost. So what if my car was a very well-used decade old car!? :)
This is partially why I bought the extended warranty when I got a new car this fall. I buy new and drive the little buggers into the ground. I think it's the best way to get your money's worth and know exactly what you're in for.
I'm impressed with your ability to finish books so quickly! It's inspired me to fit reading time into each day. This week I finally finished Wally Lamb's "The Hour I First Believed" (very depressing and slow moving at times) and I'm already halfway through Ann Lamott's book on writing "Bird By Bird," which is very well-written and funny at times. Definitely time for something fun and fluffy after those two picks, though!
